Enable/Force SSL

Post by uthornsfan »

I am wondering if there is any specific reasons that this website is not SSL enabled. I think it would be highly advisable that we enable and force users to a SSL encrypted connection.

Why? No confidential information or payment data is collected. You can use the https: route if you like, but you'll get a security warning because I didn't put an SSL certificate on this noncommercial site.

I get an error page if I go to the https://

I just asking in general terms of privacy. The more non SSL sites you visit the easier it is to track what you do on the web. Not being paranoid, I promise :thumbs2:

It makes sense during login but what's the advantage of forcing everybody to use https when reading the forum?

Then use one of the many proxy servers available if you are trying to hide footprints.

The NSA and Homeland Security has us all pegged anyway so you might as well give them more reasons.

Get on as many lists as you can.
