For sale: Colt Detective Special, 2" pencil (non-shrouded) barrel, 6-shot revolver. SN 97XXXX. There is moderate holster wear - I understand this was a police officer's gun, and his initials and badge number are scratched into the yoke, very small. Original Colt grips with moderate wear expected from holster use. Lock up is typical "bank-vault" tight. Excellent shooter.

No papers, case, fired case, etc.

Nice gun collection you've got there. Back in the stone age before there were Glocks, my dream handgun was the Colt Detective special. S&W's snubbies only carried 5 rounds while the Colt carried 6 rounds.

Too bad I already have a Smith and a Glock....

Get this gun folks, this is a man's gun back when guns were real guns made of blued steel and wood, not plastic and Tennifer.
