Memorial resolutions drive me crazy. I guess since I am not being honored I find it a waste of time.

Straus just welcomed Gov. Abbott to the floor. Interesting timing. Hope he can rally some sense into the legislators.

When are SB11 and SB17 technically dead in the House? Or did that date already pass?

Today's list of items eligible for consideration: http://www.legis.state.tx.us/tlodocs/84 ... 150514.htm
Here is the supplemental House Calendar: http://www.legis.state.tx.us/tlodocs/84 ... 150514.htm. Neither SB 11 or SB 17 are on that list.
The Senate does not publish its calendar on its website.......which is philosophically problematic for me. Whatever happened to transparency in government?

They do TAM. But the Senate version of the Calendar is called "Notice of Intent". I call it the Senate intent calendar. The Annoyed Man wrote:Today's list of items eligible for consideration: http://www.legis.state.tx.us/tlodocs/84 ... 150514.htm

Thanks. But I couldn't find a link to that calendar from the senate's home page, whereas the House's home page has the links.joe817 wrote:They do TAM. Welcome. I hear you. I don't go to either House or Senate websites. I go straight to Texas Legislature Online. You have to do some digging to find what you want, but it's all there. Very informative. The Annoyed Man wrote:Thanks. But I couldn't find a link to that calendar from the senate's home page, whereas the House's home page has the links.

Re: May 14 House session is open for business
SB 11 and SB 17 must be voted out of the House Homeland Security & Public Safety Committee by May 23, must be scheduled by the Calendars Committee by May 24, must receive a second reading/first floor vote by May 26, and must receive a third reading/final floor vote by May 27.v7a wrote:When are SB11 and SB17 technically dead in the House? HB 910, the House companion to SB 17, is also still alive. The deadline for it to be finally passed in the Senate is May 27.

Thanks Bladed, I've seen the deadline list before...but it made my head spin!Bladed wrote:SB 11 and SB 17 must be voted out of the House Homeland Security & Public Safety Committee by May 23, must be scheduled by the Calendars Committee by May 24, must receive a second reading/first floor vote by May 26, and must receive a third reading/final floor vote by May 27.v7a wrote:When are SB11 and SB17 technically dead in the House? Moving fast a furious this morning on the floor, seems as if Stickland is stalling.safety1 wrote:Rep. Stickland on the floor making a fool of himself again!

OK, I've had enough of Stickland today already. I think he likes hearing himself talk.
