The 2nd Amendment doesn't say anything about not being able to have a machine gun, Mr. Whitmire.
Keep calm and carry.

If an officer sees a person NOT carrying openly, how does the officers behavior change vs interacting with someone carrying openly?
If I see a guy carrying openly, I'm thinking the likelihood of the guy being a "bad guy" is actually less than if I don't see a gun.
If I'm a bad guy, I'm gonna conceal.

The whole line of opposition to the Amendment is wrong. IMO
Thank you! My sentiment exactly. :thumbs2:
No, Huffines needs to pull his amendment down, sit down and shut up!!! He must know what's happening, but he doesn't care. He pulled down his "constitutional carry" amendment in the interest of time, but he'll let HB910 go down for this!!?

Now Whitnire is in to the personal Attacks
Have you ever doubted yourself
When was the las time you spoke with law enforcement
What if I am right and your wrong and officers start dying
What happens when cops find people carrying at night in the dark streets of houston or Dallas
You know there are restrictions on the second amendment? You can't carry or have a machine gun!
I am going to do every thing I can to stop this

Arrgghhhh

At what point do we either run out of time on this floor debate, or terminate these arguments over amendments and vote, already?

Politically speaking, I'm sure you're right. Any opposition to this amendment, however, besides redundancy, is ridiculous.

When I was in the "workplace", we called these stonewalling tactics the "hairy arm". I think it may also called something like poison pill.

Procedurally, I agree. I assume it's a safe assuption that removing the Dutton Amendment will not be a problem through the House? I'm thinking Calendars more so than the final tally of votes, which seems assured.

Estes also is making a good argument against, eg: Judges will interpret it.

It doesn't go back to Calendars and the House will concur.

How is that any different than judges interpreting the 4th Amendment?

I hope everyone heard Sen. Ellis expressly state that he will filibuster HB910 if debate on Amendment 9 goes on long enough to make it possible to kill the Bill. There are reasons we do what we do and idiots who are either clueless or complicit in killing the Bill make me sick.

Got it... Thanks.
Still catching up on the procedural intricacies.

In that case, I'd prefer that this Amendment be tabled or withdrawn.
