I've never seen a good enough price on line to make up for the hazmat fees. I always buy local.

ETA: I do by bullets and brass on line, and any reloading equip. that the stores don't have.

Unless you are buying a very large quantity gun shows or local stores are the best way to go. If you buy on line or mail order there is a $20.00 hazmat shipping fee on each package of powder and primers. Most carriers won't accept shipments that powder and primers are in the same package.

UPS accepts primers and powder in the same shipment, and has for several years.
I have never shipped with FedEx so don't know about them, or any of their affiliates.

If you want lots of surplus powder/brass/bullets then check out Jeff Bartlett at:

Good prices and great stuff.

Powder Valley will mix primers and powder, up to 48 lbs., on one $20 HAZMAT fee.

I have ordered from them several times and been happy with their prices and service. I'm annoyed at them right now since they sent my last shipment of primers FedEx after I specifically asked for UPS (FedEx will not open a farm gate and drive in, as a general rule). However, my wife had left the gate open and the driver did deliver, this time.

Anyway, one irritation does not wipe out several good transactions. http://www.powdervalleyinc.com is their web site.
