^^ Interesting^^

A further update, I think I've now run 300-350 rounds through the P226 with only that one problem so I'm calling it good :fire . I sent in my new to me P239 for the Sig Service package a few weeks ago for failure to feed problems and Sig replaced the barrel and recoil spring for the FTF problem and part of the package was new night sights (they are great) and they replaced a bunch of other little parts - she's like a brand new gun now and works 100%.

On a side not about that rebate offer. I sent it in last week and the two mags and bag are already on their way.

The P226 is such a great platform. I have a MK25 9mm (actually two of them) and one has a factory Sig threaded barrel, SRT, Short trigger, and E2 grips. Awesome gun. One thing I like is for the size its just not as heavy as it looks. While I typically carry smaller 9mms I actually do pack my MK25 often.

^^ Roger that ^^ I've been thinking about new grips for the 226, my hands aren't small (I wear medium size gloves) but the grip feels just a tad on the large side for me.

Once you received your goodies you can go to the SIG Website and register the gun under the warranty link. After you submitted your registration you'll get a coupon code for a 20% discount on one item at the SIG store. Since half of my safe space is occupied by SIG's I register a gun on occasions befor I order on the SIG store.
The aluminium and the G10 grips are slightly slimmer than the original plastic and the E2 grips.

Bag and mags received last week. I did register the P226 and have the discount code, need to buy some parts for the wife's P238 (primarily the recoil spring needs replacing.)

There is free shipping through June 27 on the SIG web store. After June 27 you pay for shipping in less your order exceeds $100.

OK, I admit, I did it too but I didn't tell for a while. I had to rescue a new M11A1 in FDE before it gets into the wrong hands. What a great example of a quality firearm. If there is a failure of any kind I promise to write a detailed report on this forum.

:cheers2:

I've been looking at a 226. Maybe I should stimulate the economy here sometime soon myself.
