Plastic arrived today......here's the timeline...

June 1 - Mailed application by certified mail.
June 4 - Received by DPS in Austin
June 20 - Received PIN in mail. Letter dated June 15
July 16 - Website shows Application Completed
July 21 - Plastic received in the mail!

I delayed mailing the application a couple of weeks to insure the license was issued after my birthday, July 5. License expires July 5, 2012. What a deal!

For reference, I'm in Midland County.

My daughter got hers yesterday......43 days (and not a renewal) is pretty darn fast.

i did not try to wait for my plastic to be issued after my Bday but it happened. I too got 5yrs out of the 1st one. Born 1-14. Plastic arrived here 1-24.
