I can't agree with you more...

I suggest you make every effort to comply with the law, or stop posting about it in a public forum.

I don't think Florida has the weird law like we have which makes generic no-guns signs unenforceable. You know how much those of us who live here debate this issue even in Texas. Just because you can't find the answer in a quick search of Florida statutes does not mean that you're in the clear. Maybe there is a forum like this in Florida that you could search, or some other way to find out for sure. It won't help your TX CHL status if you have to be escorted out of Disney World by the police in Florida.

In Florida signage is covered under Trespass laws. If there is a sign they can ask you to leave. If you resist you can be arrested. Of course being tossed out of Disneyworld might be an financial loss. Those tickets ain't cheap. From what I've gathered there is no sign anyway, but there maybe something in fine print on the Ticket itself. Florida wrote the book on Conceal carry laws and while laws differ, they are as gun friendly as Texas. Getting caught in a properly 30.06 posted property is a lot more serious in Texas.

As of Dec of 07, you can and will be arrested for carrying a concealed handgun on Disney property.

Woman Accused of Bringing Loaded Gun Into Disney World

Sunday, December 09, 2007

Disney World security personnel reportedly discovered a silver handgun on Mary Ann Richardson as she entered the park with other family members, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. The .32-caliber Beretta handgun had been loaded with seven live rounds in the magazine, but the chamber was empty, MyFoxOrlando.com reported.

Richardson claimed she regularly traveled with the gun and forgot she had been carrying it around in her purse. Also found in Richardson’s purse was a pair of scissors and a locked blade knife, authorities said. She was charged with possession of a concealed weapon.

She got charged for possession of a concealed weapon. This is not a crime for CHL holders. A CHL holder who is foolish enough to bring it a bag will simply be told they can not come into the park.
