More to the point, in light of the below information, if he wasn't on a watch list, then noone should ever be on any such list.

Yep...your right! This is all Bushes fault too. Good lord, when will the finger pointing ever end???? I guess as long as Oduma is in office?
Why does finger-pointing mean partisanship?

There are plenty of fingers to point at Obama, at GWB, at Clinton, at GHWB, on backwards through history. I think the abuse of federal power was President George Washington using armed troops to put down the Whiskey Rebellion. The problem with government is that it doesn't like to be constrained to its constitutional bounds. That's why Jefferson advocated a revolution every generation.
I simply get sick and tired of Libs referring to Bush every time anyone makes a statement against premier Oduma and his socialistic agenda. It is as if in the simplistic mind of the average Lib this somehow excuses anything Oduma does. It is an infantile reaction to being caught doing something wrong. Catch a five year old stealing a cookie from the cookie jar and the usual response will be to point a finger at the older brother or sister and proclaim that they did it first. Having no true argument to state the case for how Oduma's agenda is good for America, just goes to show that libs have no concept of what they are actually wishing for. Shows ignorance every time they do it.

OMG, I have been outed! It certainly is a good thing that major institutions like SCOTUS do not rely on finger-pointing things like precedence.

I believed the Bush Administration did many things right -- certainly FAR better than a Gore Admin would have handled the aftermath of 9/11. That having been said, GWB made several decisions that I have problems with. The subversion of liberty and constitutional guarantees in the Patriot act rank high on that list (along with domestic wiretapping, and other decisions that spent liberty in the name of security). Purplehood did not directly attack GWB, but a single one of his actions over a period of 8 years. I would not necessarily consider that Bush-Bashing.

On the other hand, the continued cries from BHO (and his minions) regarding all the 'inherited' problems (most or all of which he's made worse during his term so far, IMO) is a blatant attempt to blame his failures on "the previous administration". Pathetic, and it's well past time for the people to inform him that they are ALL HIS PROBLEMS now. The buck stops there, BHO, so stop passing it to your predecessors.

As far as I am concerned, BHO is doing exactly all the things that he said he wouldn't that the last guy did. I don't see much fundamental difference between the two when it comes to governmental integrity. They just come at it from differing directions.

"...doing all the things he said he wouldn't" -- I agree, PLUS, He's NOT doing all the things he said he WOULD! (End Iraq, Fix Afghanistan, Close Guantanamo, Fix the Economy, not raise taxes on people under some variable amount of income, etc).

However, I'm not sure about the "...that the last guy did" part. Care to give some examples?

Offhand, I can think of "Spend too much money", which I would agree with, with the notation that in this regard, BHO makes GWB look like a skinflint (whatever that is).

My issue is with the libs constantly crying about what Bush did. Good lord!!! Get over it already! GWB is the past. Obama is the very bleak future and is a total disaster. This constant finger pointing at what the other guy did is just ignorant! It is allowing Obama and the rest of his socialist party, the space needed to destroy our country.

Yeah, lets ignore history and march off into the future. That always works well for Generals and Politicians.

There is a difference between remembering the past, and continuously blaming your current predicaments on it.

Exactly!!!! To act as if they are doing it as a remembrance of the past is laughable. They bring up Bush to deflect from the short comings of the "chosen one". Like I said...it shows ignorance when they do it. It is exactly the same thing as the five year old proclaiming the older brother stole a cookie from the jar first.

Are you for real? Do you for one single iota of a minute think that I approve of anything that Barack Obama has said or done? You have really gone off on a tangent that has nothing to do with reality.

And thats a really fine metaphor you have there with the cookie jar. Forget the older brother setting a poor example, lets forget about it and move on to the guy that we just caught. I can't believe how badly this thread has devolved to sheer hypocrisy.

I was referring to liberals at large, not just you. Heck...even ole bam bam does it. Bring up trillions of dollars in spending to them...poof...they whip out the Bush excuse. Bring up Afghanistan...poof...they talk about what Bush did. Every single time they are challenged, the socialist party throws up Bush as if it somehow justifies anything they do.
I bring up the cookie analogy because it works. Most of us will not allow our children to blame others. Why are we allowing the POTUS do it???? Sorry if I made you mad but it makes me mad to watch our government destroy our country while we spend time bad mouthing what the previous administration did.

PS...I made my view point known so I will give you the last word and leave it alone from here.

I apologize for going high and to the right.

My only point is that we should learn from OUR mistakes. Not just the other guys.

As George Washington said, in wartime soldiers must necessarily give up some of the very freedoms they are fighting for. To the extent that we are all soldiers in the War on Terrorism and the jihad against America, deal with it.

Of course. We swap liberties for security. I think I have heard that some where.
