:iagree: with everything you said, Keith. And I think Abby is my favorite character, but Ziva is a close second! I didn't know that about Pauley...interesting trivia.

Yeah, she apparently has a couple more (physiology and sociology) on top of the criminal science degree and was 'straight A' student in college. Here is a Bio page on her fan site http://www.pauleyperrette.org/pauley-perrette-bio.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

And she is naturally taller than what's his name ("Boss") so she is always portrayed as wearing the clunky shoes, to excuse her tallness.

:iagree: I just recently got started watching NCIS, but like it so much I am DVR'ing (is that a word now? LOL) the reruns on USA Network.

NCIS LA just doesn't do it for me. I do like Hetty, the little short lady who is the OSP Operations Manager's character. She is pretty funny, but the rest just doesn't hit me as a good watch.

For a little trivia, Pauley Perrette who plays Abby, the goth forensics specialist on NCIS, actually has a degree in forensic science. :thumbs2:
Actually she has a Master's Degree in Criminology. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005306/bio

Mark Harmon is 6'0". Pauley Perrette is 5'10". Michael Weatherly (Tony Dinozzo) is 6'1".

But her Bachelor's Degree from Valdosta State is in Criminal Science.

Just went through all of the degree programs available at VSU on their website. They do not list a degree program in Criminal Science. The website does list a Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Criminal Justice which offers a Bachelor of Art in Criminal Justice and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice. Forensics is not listed as part of the Curriculum. Perhaps VSU dropped the program after she graduated. Regardless, a Criminal Science degree and a Forensic Science degree are not the same thing.

Not sure she actually finished her masters either.

I guess we'll never know for sure unless we get the chance to ask Pauley herself. I was just going by what I read at the website that Keith posted as well as this website - http://www.perfectpeople.net/biography/ ... rrette.htm - which says:

In an interview with Craig Ferguson (on the Late Show) she said she has a life long crime obsession. She was an undergrad student in Sociology, Psychology, and Criminal Science. Started masters in Criminal Science before ending up in the entertainment industry. She has ended up playing a forensic scientist, which is what she was training to be in the first place.

Not what I heard, but obviously I don't pay a great deal of attention to the show or the actors.

I don't know - but if she wanted to be a forensic scientist she sure took a strange education path to get there. Perhaps that is why she is not a forensic scientist today.

Information came straight from their bios.

You do realize NCIS was a spin off from JAG.

Well, not sure of the validity of anything on the Internet, due to these bios not being 100% accurate. Here is one that says she earned her master's degree from Georgia State University in criminology and forensic science http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abby_Sciuto" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. And we all know WikiPedia is like, you know, the bible of the Internet. ;-)

No matter, apparently she has a background on criminal justice with emphasis on criminology which makes for a good fit into her role, and she plays it well. :thumbs2:

Oh yea, and was my mom upset when JAG got cancelled. I never watched JAG and didn't pick up on NCIS until a few seasons in.

NCIS LA is just a bit too pretty and somewhat unbelievable even by TV standards.
