NCIS: Los Angeles

Post by williamkevin »

Here is a short clip from the show, where the character "Hetty" discusses the finer points of the Mossberg 590 shotgun.

CAVEAT One character uses light profanity word in the clip.

I saw that episode last week. It was sooooo funny! That gun was bigger than she was!

Gotta watch that recoil!

Especially when you're smaller than the shotty.

Hetty is the best character in the show, IMHO.

Yeah....she's the only real reason I watch it. Very good actress. Every time I see her though, I keep thinking of her in "Kindergarden Cop".

I know it wasn't her voice but I always think about The Incredibles.

She was on a few episodes of "The Unit" a couple of years ago. I liked her on there, too.

NCIS Los Angeles is a perfect example of the sequel not even being in the same league as the original.

It should run after "CSI Miami".

Does it show that I think it's a really dumb show?

:iagree: The original NCIS is one of my favorite shows but I'm having a hard time getting to like the LA version. I don't know if it is the combination of characters or what. It seems to have gotten a little better lately.

That was another example of the poor gun handling that goes on on all of those shows, did anyone else notice that she swept him with the muzzle as she turned? I noticed it when I saw the original and had wished I had it on tape to play back for my wife right then, now I can show her exactly what I was talking about because she didn't notice it. NCIS and NCIS LA are a couple of my wife's favorite shows, but I don't enjoy them, or the CSIs, very much - I watch them because she has them on.

That said, I have always enjoyed Linda Hunt's character portrayals and think she does a fine job in her role there too.

:iagree: I just recently got started watching NCIS, but like it so much I am DVR'ing (is that a word now? LOL) the reruns on USA Network.

NCIS LA just doesn't do it for me. I do like Hetty, the little short lady who is the OSP Operations Manager's character. She is pretty funny, but the rest just doesn't hit me as a good watch.

For a little trivia, Pauley Perrette who plays Abby, the goth forensics specialist on NCIS, actually has a degree in forensic science. :thumbs2:

:iagree: with everything you said, Keith. And I think Abby is my favorite character, but Ziva is a close second! I didn't know that about Pauley...interesting trivia.
