I've been wearing a Cabela's Double Duty belt in black. Works very well. Great price. My IWB holster's black clip disappears on the black belt.

Thanks everyone for the input do far. I'm thinking I might want to go with the crossbreed belt but I am still undecided. Their customer service is so good I would love to support them. Plus I was impressed with my supertuck. However that price of the double duty is pretty good. I wish I would have been a little faster because I would of picked up that 5.11 for that price deal for sure. Ohwell.

ME TOO The Comp-Tac Contoured, Kydex reinforced, Velcro lined belt is the best I ever owned. And I used to make belts; my dad made boots and saddles professionally for many years; since the 1940s, before he passed away in 2008.
I once thought about Crossbreed, but didn't see that they were Kydex reinforced, so I didn't order one. I love my Comp-Tac with its 2 layers of stiff leather, with kydex reinforcement inside, and Velcro on the back. I COULD carry a IWB Glock 19+IWB Glock 27+ IWB Glock 26 and a 1911 in a Safepacker, hanging outside off the belt comfortably, though I'd usually only wear that much hardware to Church.

+1 on the 5.11 leather belts. Granted, they're the only ones I've used so far but, man, do they work! I ordered 4 pairs of pants from LA PoliceGear, so I've got 4 of them. Thankfully, they're not all the same color!

Does the kydex make that big of a difference? I have never thought about it. Would it help make the belt last a very long time with out starting to sag?

The kydex makes a difference in stiffness and won't get "unstiff" as it gets older nearly as fast as "just leather" would, because it's kydex, not just leather.

The Comp-Tac belts are already contoured. You know how an older belt sags in the back as it stretches because when you sit the back of your jeans/pants pull the belt downwards? Lay an old belt flat and you'll see how it curves. That's how a belt "wants to go." These are contoured slightly lower in the back already, because you won't see them stretching out of shape/sagging anytime soon, due to the kydex reinforcement insert.

And, the Velcro lining is great; allowing the option to use Velcro Clips on holsters to the belt, so nothing at all shows on the belt at church, at work etc. when tucked.

Some other companies (such as Crossbreed Belts) offer Velcro (but not plastic/kydex inserts).
Some other companies offer kydex or plastic inserts (but not Velcro)....
Beltman Belts offers Velcro OR Reinforcement insert, but not both.
Comp-Tac has it all if you want it... Dual layers of leather AND Kydex insert AND Velcro if you want it (and I do). (And great quality and super customer service too)
And, they are a Texas Company in Spring Texas so you are supporting Texas Economy.

The gun belt I wore before I tried a Comp-Tac .... I made. I made belts since about 1969 with dad's tools. Doubt I'll make another gunbelt, maybe a dress belt for a freind, but I can't match Comp-Tac's quality.

I have no affiliation with any company, I'm retired from everything except hobbies.

Since no one has mentioned it yet, there's also The Belt Man. There used to be a long lead time on getting one, but he has built up a stock of belts for quick-ship order which ship out immediately.

I've had a 1.5" bullhide belt that I've worn daily for almost 3 years now, and it's still going strong.

Here's the link to his quick-ship stuff:

Be sure to use his guide for making proper measurements.

Well everyone,
I decided to go for the crossbreed belt. I decided on this belt because i was so happy with their holster and I love their customer service. It was a hard choice because i wanted to try the belt with the kydex inserts but i was on a budget and that would have been a little more expensive.

I ordered on 4/16 and just got back from a Florida vacation yesterday the 29th and it was in my mail box. So they were fast. I love the belt. Its solid, the hardware on it is very nice and it is casual, yet i could get away wearing it in more formal settings.

I also ordered the velcro kit as well. With my shirt tucked in you can not see anything and my glock 23 vanishes. However, my only problem is with a tighter t-shirt, the belt is kinda thick and prints a little. Normally the supertuck can not be seen without the belt. I don't think this problem is a crossbreed problem. I think any belt that is 1/4 inches thick would do this. I guess i will just get bigger shirts from the thrift store or something. :banghead: Does any one else have this problem with a thick belt? to they break in and does it get easier. Anyways overall i am very pleased. Ohh and for all you fans, yes there was a pack of cherry life savers. :thumbs2: . thanks again for every ones input.

I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. I received mine a while back (along with my last holster purchase) and it has kinda spoiled me. My other belts are gettin' lonely.

I really like the roller buckle.

How wide is that Cabela's belt? I've got a nylon reinforced instructor belt (Uncle Mike's) that is 1-1/2", but for leather I'd like to go with 1-1/4.
