Underpowered?cheezit wrote:I too would be very upset that they left me with an underpowered and unamerican car. I would be glad they took the last one with them. I suggest you push it out in to the street if it will not start and leave the keys hanging in the door. Also write in big letters on the glass "PLEASE BRING ME A FORD"
but thats just my opinion.
now that I have bashed on the import. They are fun little cars to drive.

I can't leave the keys in the door, with keyless start and all

I've owned a few fords in my day, and the acronym "Found On Road Dead" matches them to a T... or an F for that matter.

I had a friend in high school who rammed his Dodge into a tree.
I like imports, but I like V8's too. Motorcycles make me happy as well. Wouldn't mind an SRT10 either. Just wish I had more money for such things.

do you know who builds most of mazda's stuff? do some looking around I belive you will find that both the 2.0 and the 2.5 are both ford engines IM not sure what trans is behind either but its more then likly that the ford engine is hooked to a ford trans.
Re: Stolen car
Ford has it's paws in some of the stuff, and I don't know about the 2.0 or 2.5, but the 2.3 Turbocharged in mine I'm 99% sure is japanese mazda.cheezit wrote:do you know who builds most of mazda's stuff? do some looking around I belive you will find that both the 2.0 and the 2.5 are both ford engines IM not sure what trans is behind either but its more then likly that the ford engine is hooked to a ford trans.

Re: Stolen car
The Mazda B2000 pickup truck and the Ford Courier were pretty much one and the same. I had a little underpowered Courier back in the 80s and that sucker ran forever.

Re: Stolen car
Ford owned part of mazda, not the whole company. So like the above poser said, they shared some parts/engines but mazda is still it's own company.mgood wrote:Doesn't Ford own Mazda? Re: Stolen car
all kidding aside. The speed 3 is a neat little ride. I almost bought one for my wife. She opted for a mustang.
As a Ford tech I am forced to say buy a ford.
