Well, if they're Nerf guns it's ok. As long as you have some sort of warning before it goes off so they don't get too scared and have a heart attack. And it can't be one of those startling alerts, either -- you need to use a calming warning siren, else the warning about not having a heart attack might give them a heart attack.
I am not a lawyer, nor have I played one on TV, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, nor should anything I say be taken as legal advice. If it is important that any information be accurate, do not use me as the only source.

OK, So I'm all set to build my ultimate home defense system.
1: Automatic gun turret with Nerf-type gun attached.
2: Warning in a soft voice clearly stating that no bodily injury will occur upon impact of the harmless projectiles... or is "impact" too strong of a word?

Am I missing anything?

We are constantly advising homeowners to protect their property and the contents of their shed or garage, however, a commonsense approach needs to be taken.
Hmmm, sounds familiar. :mad5

I know! For being common, there sure does seem to be a lack of it.

One of my favorite signs. Let the neighbor stand by his convictions.
