part 1 in pic is the end cap mount for my calico 9mm, I take off whatever the gun being used has for a flash suppr and weld that to the end cap.
Part 2 is the suppressor body with the end cap off
part 3 is the exit cap. Spring is the battery spring being used to keep pressure on the last baffle to hold in place and prevent rattling.
Part 4 is the blast baffle before being downsized and small holes drilled for pressure release. It sits about 4 inches in at the back from the mount.
Part 5 is the washer after visiting part six (with a ball pean hammer) and becoming a baffle. 2 small holes will be drilled in it for pressure release.
Part 6 is what i use to form the baffles, I do not know what the heck it is but I saw it in a junk pile and went "bingo!"
The idea behind my design is flexibility, not super efficiency. I can change end caps to match the caliber and gun. I have a GSG 22 1911 that sounds like a paintball gun with CCI stingers (cant hear the SS crack for some reason). I used the fake can that came with it to make the mount. 9mm SS ammo is also very quiet, possibly due to the Calico barrel being very long. .223 is shootable without any protection, sound like a .22 pistol. The hole in the washer will accomodate up to a 10mm.
Second pic is with the .22 end cap in place.
FYI, this is ATF stamped. I have about $60 in parts and a $200 tax stamp.
I bought a lot of those home made silencer books at the gun shows but their designs all look like crap to me. pvc and hose clamps around tape just doesnt work for me. Wish i had a lathe and mill, would be dangerous...
