Congratulations to you and your wife, TAM. We, as a society, need to celebrate early and often those who take seriously their vows and commitments seriously. The institution of marriage is a core part of who we are.

Enjoy your evening and we wish another 23 years of a wedded bliss.

Chas.

P.S. I have a SWMBO, too. "rlol"

Which table were you at? Our reservation was for 7 pm too. We were sitting just inside the front door to the left, facing the front windows. I had on a salmon colored shirt.

Yep, You guys got in just ahead of us and I wondered which couple you were (there were two other couples already seated by themselves so I wasn't sure). We were by the serving door by the bar area. My wife is undergoing chemo and had her doo rag on. We live about five blocks away off Hillcrest and enjoy eating dinner there. Heck, my b'loved even says I'm starting to look like one of their Creme Brulees (big n'round)!

And happy 31st to you all. My wife says she noticed your wife when she walked past you guys on the way to the bathroom. She was wearing a turquoise top and a skirt.

Congratulions, to you both Tam and Pug. If you both would send me an address, I will send your wife a sympathy card. I now have 37 years with mine and she has more sympathy cards than you can shake a stick at.

Many happy returns, Chris. For her to stick with you for 23 years you must be doing something right.

Now some mush. Our cyberspace buddy, Hoi Polloi, might call it romance. I of course would be embarrassed to use that word in this macho crowd.

My sweetie and I celebrated two-score and a dozen years last month. I have not deserved one year of her. She raised our three sons into fine young men almost single-handed, with never the slightest complaint. For her to put up with my so many extensive absences, never being able to accompany me, she would be justified in thinking that I loved my uncle (Sam) so much more than I loved her. In fact I did love my job -- much easier than hers. But she loved our uncle, too, and it dwarfed my love for him. She was the true patriot, as were and are so many of our service-wives. As a service-brat, she had 20-years seniority on me when we tied the knot and I promptly left her alone for 22 months. This happened time and again, due to the nature of my duties.

I proudly salute her service to our family and our country daily, along with the service of so many thousands of wives who served, and still serve, so faithfully, many not knowing whether they would ever see their husband again. :patriot:
