23 Years...

Post by The Annoyed Man »

So tonight, the 23rd of July, is our 23 wedding anniversary. She has put up with my nonsense all these years, and she's still my best friend.

We're going out to dinner in about a half hour to the Lavendou Bistro Provençal on Preston Road—a very good French restaurant. If the joint gets robbed while I'm there, I'm going to have to tell them to not bother me.... I'm eating.

Anyway, what can you say about an intelligent and beautiful wife with a sense of humor, who owns 3 handguns and an AR15? You can say, "Yes dear!"

That's how I've stayed alive all these years. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! :smilelol5:

I'm only 3 years behind you. Mine doesn't own any firearms, but she did get me the Henry for my birthday several years back.

Congratulations and God's continued blessings on you and your marriage, TAM.

I consider myself equally blessed that my best friend/shooting partner/love of my life has put up with me in marriage for 23 years as of July 3. I think it speaks volumes about commitment to one another and the relationship when couples make the decision each day to work it out and stay together, come what may. I also think that dogged persistence in weathering a few of the relationship storms ultimately makes the relationship better and stronger due to the faith each partner has in the other.
