Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) said late Monday that she would seek a meeting with the National Rifle Association (NRA) to see if there are any ways to find an agreement on how to prevent tragedies like the one last week in Colorado, where one shooter killed 12 and wounded nearly 60 others in a movie theater.

She wants a way to prevent tragedies like that? How about this? Require everyone who is legally able to own a gun to not only own one, but also carry it 24/7/52, with exceptions for times when truly untenable, such as showering, swimming, etc.

I dare say that if 95% of the people in that theater had been armed, there would be a ton fewer injured or killed.

As for laws to prevent ownership? Yeah. Those will work. After all, I thought it was illegal to kill anyone like that. Look how much good that law did.

Back when the Enron scandal blew apart, it was revealed that she had received larger political donations than any other Texas member of the US House. I believe that Enron's headquarters was in her district and the amount of their contributions was inversely related to distance from their HQ. She got about 8 or 9 times as much in campaign contributions from then as the representatives from West Texas.

In her case, Worf was right. She is nothing but a mouth without any brain to connect to it.

i think a lot of them are illegal aliens. Heck, I know a lot of them are illegal alie ns. I lived in her district for a while.
