Typical big city politician, er Chief which is usually one in the same. IMO they do NOT represent the rank and file law enforcement officer. However they do write and approve policy.

Many want their own fiefdoms if/when the government manages to disarm the populace; he's clearly one of them. The thing that amazes me is that WE THE PEOPLE keep re-electing all of these infidels. Guess we are as dumb as they think we are....

If he prefers a single shot bolt-action that's what he should use. I prefer an AR15 variant with a 30 round mag because I don't intend to use it for hunting. I also prefer leggy brunettes, so maybe we should prohibit blonds. What he prefers is irrelevant to me, and everyone else, for that matter.

"I don't want my deputies outgunned. And I don't want my deputies looking down a barrel that is ten times the size of theirs. I don't want automatic weapons out there. I don't want armor piercing ammo out there. I don't want true military weapons out on the streets,” Garcia said in support of the Obama proposal whose major elements include universal background checks for all gun buyers, a crackdown on gun trafficking, a ban on military-style assault weapons and a ban on ammunition magazines holding more than 10 bullets.
Sheriff Adrian Garcia speaking like a true ignorant here, or just paying lip service to Obama... sad we couldn't vote him out last November...

I voted against him last time.

Let's be honest: this is a man who never spent time on the streets as a LEO, and who never had significant experience being a law enforcement officer...much less had experience being the Sheriff of the largest county in the United States. He was a Houston City Councilman before he was elected by the Houston intra-city liberals to Sheriff.

What would you expect from the second(possibly the first) most liberal city in Texas. look at the mayor and her female life partner. most of the rank and file officers dislike her and the deputies dislike A Garcia. they understand the people of Harris County and the COH are led by the nose ring to slaughter and know its not gonna change till we deport them back up north or back to Kalifornia. Parker looked for someone who had the same ideology she had before making him Chief of Police in Houston, it isn't the first time and wont be the last, when you have a city full of dolists that will get more free stuf and more free stuff from the city because of the Socialist Demokratik Republik of Houston says that it should pay for all and rip the rest of us off they are going to vote to continue with the Oppressive line of Obama socialism

don't have no horses, sold em cause Houston said its illegal to have em in the city  but I know Austin is most likely first but not sure the others come before Houston. Houston reminds me of Russia, violently expansionist to the detriment of everyone involved

I will agree with Austin being #1.... I live here... It's sickening how many people are completely ignorant when it comes to things like the rights of the citizens... My cousin was actually told (by his high school civics teacher) the 2nd amendment only allows the military and police to own guns... He was already 18 at the time and said like heck(not what he said) I've got a rifle and shotgun in my room... How did I get it at academy if only military and police can get guns... He was suspended for a week for causing a disruption in the classroom and a violation of the zero tolerance to weapons in school...

Could he have stated his argument in a different manner??... Yes and he should have he was rude and disrespectful and was reprimanded by the school.

Suspended for zero tolerance policy violation?....for challenging a teachers severely flawed interpretation of the 2nd amendment simply by stating (in a ruse and disrepectul manner) he in fact owns a rifle and shotgun in a class that is supposed to teach the constitution and how government is supposed to work?

:headscratch
Chl class for me and wife=$225. Chl application fees =$280. Chl gear for 2=more $ the previous. Moving from sheep to sheepdog = priceless
