But as for anyone else, it's radio. They can't see him, and even if they did, when he goes in public, nobody will remember or recognize him, so he's just as 'secret' and concealed in public as he was before.

I'm more bothered by what she said about Glock and Sig... because she's wrong!
I've heard other conservative talk show hosts talk about their having a CHL and exercising their right to carry. Jon-David Wells comes immediately to mind. And I don't feel back about mentioning it here in public, if he's talking about it on the radio.

That said, I do think it was indiscreet of Laura Ingraham to out her employee without having first secured his permission. As to Glock vs Sig, Glocks are ugly, and Sigs are heavy. I (my wife, actually) own a Glock, and I sometimes carry it. I want a Sig. . . . . .just to round out the collection, mind you. But my guess is that Ingraham touts the alleged superiority of the Sig over the Glock because she owns a Sig. I don't think her employee needs to defend his choice of gun—ESPECIALLY since he had the good sense to pick a caliber beginning with "4". . . . . .

. . . .because everybody knows that 9mm is for girls shooting mice. . . . . .

I've got a Sig P938 and I love it. It's small and easy to conceal. It's not my preferred position but it even carries easily in a ankle holster.
And I sometimes carry a PM9 or a G19. Made you look! :smilelol5:

I've got a P239 that I love. Every student I've ever let qualify with it wants to buy it. I've had two go out and buy Sigs because of shooting that gun. It's not super light, but it's not too heavy to carry all day either.
I think it's got the perfect balance of weight vs. recoil. Even if it does shoot a mouse killing round. :evil2:

I would feel totally exposed after that.

What does it matter, "concealed carry" is not "secret carry". I want everybody to assume that the steely-eyed and portly, older guy over there facing the door is armed and possibly dangerous...'cause I am. :tiphat:
Agreed. I'd rather have them looking at him that looking at me.

gloria campos, whojust retired after 30 years of being on TV in DFW outed herself as having a CHL:

also, i have a cousin in colorado who outed herself on facebook as having a carry permit or whatever they call it up there. i don't out myself to very many people, but i'm surprised at the number of people i talk to that during relevant conversation spill the beans on their CHL status.

I don't do it on facebook or message boards (well, except one), but to people I know fairly well, I'll let them know what an advocate and proponent I am of getting a CHL.
The number one reason I give people is that if one believes in the the right to defending yourself and the 2nd Amendment, then you should get a CHL "even if" you don't plan to carry. I always throw that last part in, because it's amazing to me how many people believe the first part, but then say, "well, I don't think I'd ever carry or be comfortable carrying."
So I say, "well, if you believe in the right, you should be one of the 'counted' people who voted with their time and money to support that right in Texas, and get a CHL."
I've had dozens of friends decide on that reasoning to get one, then after taking the class, most end up carrying. :thumbs2:

I really don't care who knows I have my CHL. I don't go around flashing my license or gun and I don't have a badge or sash, but all my family knows, most of my co-workers (because several have theirs' also) and my "friends" on Facebook know. Almost everyone on my FB friends list either has or supports CHL. I have not had one person say anything negative about cc or guns on FB. My settings on FB are set to allow only my friends to see my info or anything I post anyway. I have either helped or steered several friends and family to get their own CHL. I don't force my views on anyone, but I'm not shy on letting them know if asked. :patriot:

I'm not quite this up front about it, but, if I can use the discussion to encourage friends to get their CHL, I usually do.

I remember her from a Harlingen station years ago.
