Prop 63 passing was incredibly disappointing though not surprising. I didn't think it would pass with such a large margin however.
I'll let you all know how painful the process is to get my Cal DoJ permit to buy ammo (good for 5 years!) and how expensive ammo has become.
This year has been a bad, bad year for California gun owners. And at a local level, we lost a great range that has been shut down due to ongoing nuisance complaints about the noise. A perfect example of why the Range Owner protection bill passed in Texas was so important. It's not only becoming harder to own guns and defend ourselves, it's becoming harder to even shoot for recreation as ranges keep closing.
We also voted both at a state and local level to increase taxes nearly across the board. The people of California have decreed that there isn't a tax increase we won't pass.
Why the deuce did I move back here again?

All we'd have to do is drop a few nukes on the San Andreas fault and they could get their wish.

I'm good with them governing themselves. Wouldn't take long for it to collapse on it's own. And Texas would be #1 in electoral votes.

This quote is infuriating:
Again, California’s votes didn't matter in a US presidential election. Why should we continue to be part of this Union? #Calexit
How do you think Texas felt during the reign of Obama??? It's part of the deal! You lost this time! Deal with it!

I agree. If they are their own country, we get more electoral votes!

Ho are they supposed to deal with it?
After all, nobody gave them a participation trophy.

Wow. It wouldnt take them long to come squirming back if they ever did that. Maybe it would be a good lesson but I dont know what the ripple effect would be. Reminds me when our kids got mad at us and threatened to run away. I put mine in the back yard after he suggested that, with a tent and that was the end of that. I even told him he was lucky I let him use my tent.
