I went with the regular cut and xacto knife approach! Actually I haven't cut anything yet I am waiting to see how it goes with the regular cut before I do anything.
I think some photos or a new thread to the "DIY Combat Cut" are in order once you go for it. I'll be sure to do the same. :)

Seriously I don't think there is any need to as I think the horsehide is pretty resilient as it is after all it protected a horse pretty well :smilelol5:
