I've been thinking about that too. It feeds fine now but I wouldn't want it blowing up in my hand. They started making 21s in 1991 and that's about when I bought mine and it was updated in 12/93 so a lot may have happened since then.

I called Glock this morning and the guy said after 17 yrs it wouldn't be a bad idea to send it in to inspect and upgrade. He wasn't specific but he said it's possible some stuff would be changed out. The only charge would be one way shipping.

I have the full-sized 22 and the compact 27.
I only use the model 22 for target shooting. I never carry it.
I have the model 27 for carry, but the handle is too short.
I have a Sub-compact XD40 which is the same length as the 27 but has a handle that is exactly one of my fingers width longer and is just right.
I feel like Goldilocks.

This is why I also went with the XD9sc, just a smidge longer.

Wow!!! That is what I call customer service. Upgrade a 17 year old Glock for shipping only??? Excellent!!!

I had a Sig 1911 once. It was truly beautiful to look at. It was also an
expensive worthless piece of junk. Sig may make other kinds of pistols well, but no more of their 1911s for me.
You run accross any more of them, real cheap, and I'd be interested.
This one's the most accurate "out of the box" 1911 I've ever had. After a few "Zeke Tweeks" it is a pleasure to shoot! Oh yeah, it is reliable, too!
Here it is with one of gigagg's Dot Targets.

Love the Glock 17, hate the 19, the 19 is just to small for my hands.

So do Hi Points... but back in the early 20th century a man named John Moses Browning invented a gun that fired bullets really, really well.

Say three John Moses Brownings and two Kimbers, and all will be forgiven.

I shall call you Old Man Whose Antiquated Religious Icon Befuddles The New People .... Not quite "Dances With Wolves" but I like it.

As the Catholic Priest saw the parishoner's sidearm, he made the Sign of The Cross while saying, "Once a Gun, Now a Dove"...and all was forgiven (Just say 3 hail Mary's and 1 Our Father and sin no more)...
