Above is his email address. Be Nice!!!! But professionally let him know his statements were false.
Oh, he's well aware that his statement was false. Here's my rebuttal to the canned response he's been sending to people who email him about the statement in question:

http://www.campuscarry.com/2010/11/23/k ... y/#content" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Well that's to be expected; one liar pointing to an organization of liars for support. Yeah I know, I'm not being very statesmanlike. I respect differing opinions and people who hold those opinions,as long as they are honest. I have no respect for liars.

Should make Holda and his lies the poster child for the anti-campus carry crowd.

To start with, put up a video with him spouting off, followed up with Dr. Hupp.

Doubtless you're right. But it's the ones that they get caught out on that they remember.

Is Kilgore a state supported school, or a private entity? Never mind, it is a state supported school. (This keeps getting better!)
Planning to push for a bill requiring carry on their campus?

Dr. Bill Holda has appeared, IMO, to have strayed from the hallowed halls of educators specifically University (Ok.. junior college...) professors. Those in that position are bound by at least personal ethics to provide accurate information, based on accurate research and facts, not spouting opinions unless stated as such. Being in the more public position of a high level administrator, he should be held to an even higher standard of accuracy in his statements as his statements and their accuracy represent the Institition. If the Instution and its administration being represented by this gentleman wish to issue a statement, the facts should be accurate. Otherwise the Instutition's and his personal credibility become questionable in all areas.

opinion on== I've had professional interactions with this gentleman in past years. I wont say unpleseant, but noticabley one-sided and opinionated. Bill--When you've forgotten the basic tennents of education and research, giving into an emotional, opinion based series of public statements-- perhaps its time to throw in the towell and take up the fishing pole. ==opinion off.

I emailed Mr. Holda, and he sent back a detailed response. I wrote back taking issue with several points.
He doesn't seem unreasonable by the emails, just misinformed.
For example, he quotes VPC "statistics", which we have discussed here before.

I did not get permission to share the emails, but he indicated he would like to post his position online.
He also is open to reasoned discussion of the subject.

I just asked a guy over at Texas State "Why do you think Nidal Hasan chose the area he did, instead of shooting range?
Some people are as thickheaded as my brother is. (Obama isn't finished yet, just see all he can do if we re-elect him; yes my wife is now unemployed, but ...) :banghead:

What was his answer?

That's a moderated comment board, they just posted my comments from 3 and 5 hours ago;Karl Kautsky hasn't replied yet. He sounds like he wants all guns melted down and us to live as safely as they do in Mexico, where guns are illegal.

here's the link though for our "comment conversation"
