If you want a 1911 that is small and chambered in 9mm you should look at the Springfield EMP. It was specifically designed to shoot the short cartridges (9mm & .40) in a 1911 platform.

Darn, found out today, that it'll be about 3 weeks before I get my Supertuck! :cryin:

I guess I'll be really familiar with the paddle holster by then.

Yeah, I'd love one, but at +$1000, that's way down the list. For that price, I would just get a basic 1911 in .45. Shoot, for that price, I could just about get a Kahr and a basic 1911. Well, maybe not, but it's not that far off.

Initially at least, I plan to stick to 9mm and .45. ease of access and cost of ammo, and it'll be easier of all of my guns (currently only 1) shoot only 1 or maybe 2 calibers. I suspect if I branched out into a third caliber, it would probably be .22.

No hold on a moment, I consider my Kahr 45 to be a double stack...its just that the other stack is in my weak side back pocket ;-). I may not be able to reload as fast as Woody Harrelson in Zombieland did in the booth at the amusement park, but I can get there within a couple seconds.

Kahr doublestack? I guess it is all a matter of perspective! LOL

I guess mine is a doublestack by that definition.

From that point of view, if you carry 2 extra mags, you'd have a triple-stack.
