Having seen a couple of the similar Christmas shopping video melees in other States, I'm not sure that these incidents are as much a reflection on Florida as the group involved. I cannot understand why so many people want to get into such wholesale kicking and punching even with alcohol involved. I've seen my share of bar fights (I'm a musician who played in rock bands in bars) but generally they were confined to a couple of guys, not dozens on either side of some sort of group conflict.

15 year Texas girl told told her parents she was flying to Florida for a Church Camp. Didn’t call her parents when she arrived and didn’t return messages.

Found with felon in a rental vacation home. Felon had a gun and 8 rounds in the magazine. (No puppies were harmed in the article.) Friends said she had been communicating with an older man on line. Police pinged her phone and found her location.

I think by not allowing her to come to the door when the police arrived, it became kidnapping along with the gun charges.

A man with African heritage walked into a restaurant on Ocean Drive in Miami and began waving a gun at diners. He pointed the gun at a one year old little baby and said "he's only a boy" the 21 year old father got between the baby and the gun and was murdered. The man with the gun then danced.

He said he felt empowered by the mushrooms he apparently ate. The dead father was a tourist from Colorado vacationing with his wife and baby.

RIP

The murderer is only charged with 2nd degree murder.
