NC: 12 yo shoots at home invaders, kills one

Two masked individuals broke into an apartment around 0100, demanded money, and shot a 73 yo female. 12 yo male saddled up and shot at invaders, who fled. 19 yo with GSW found half a block away, died at hospital. 73 yo taken to hospital and treated for non-life threatening GSW.

Obviously, the “safe storage” laws weren’t in effect in NC. Don’t they know that allowing minors access to firearms only causes problems. Did they require the 12 year old to pass a “universal” background check, before it was “transferred” to him/her? You know “common sense” requirements.

Good for the kid! Hopefully the 73 year old recovers quickly.
