Mailed 8/27 after getting packet from online reg. Still same when checking, packet sent. Called the other day to confirm its in the system and was told to call back in a week and a half. All we can do is wait.

Welcome bikeman, I hope your wait is short. DPS has been running much faster recently.

striker55...looks like we are in the same boat.

I was thinking that since we did it online things might move faster...i guess not so much.

Its just a waiting game now. I just want to see something that makes me feel comfortable that they actually received my packet. I would think they would have updated the site to say. "Received Packet".

I dont know...well hopefully they will start to process the app sometime in September. and I guess finish up by the end of October...

My wife waited about a week after it flipped to processing before it flipped to app completed- issued. She also applied online... took less than 30 days to process and that was last month. DPS is getting fast

Exactly bikeman, thinking online would speed it up, no way. As a matter of fact I had completed my class and had everything ready to go and then had to wait for them to send the application to sign. I only found this forum after the fact and probably would have done it different. Plus figuring online faster didnt send return receipt. Oh well live and learn and wait and wait.

Patience grasshopper. Good things come to those who wait. . In the mean time it's a good idea to go ahead and get all your carry gear together and start carrying around the house. Some time at the shooting range or even take up IDPA shooting to really hone your skills may be in order too. I feel your pain waiting but it will end before you know it. I know my plastic came fast in August too.

I went through the trouble of express mailing my missing information back out the same day I received it in the mail. With delivery confirmation I was able to see it reached them the very next day. It took them a month after it was received their office to begin processing my application again. I hope you don't have the same results.

July 1 mailed the packet.
July 5 delivery confirmation received
July 9 DPS deposits the check
July 27 got notice that I failed to sign one of the fingerprint cards arggh
July 27 signed fingerprint card and mailed back to Austin
July 28 Delivery confirmation that fingerprint card was received at CHL office
August 8 sent email requesting pin
August 9 received pin via email
August 21 Website still shows application missing information called CHL office to be told that application is being processed and website is behind and has problems
August 23 No change in status
August 29 Processing Application
September 6 Received 2 letters with PIN different dates on each letter
