Happy 65th
Just got back from my parents place in Groesbeck. Was there for my 65th (29 March). Boy was I surprised! They decided that as they are not getting any younger (91 & 87) that I might like a birthday gift. I've had my eye on it for 50+ years. Marlin 39a golden Mountie.

That's some BD gift to be sure. A beauty to look at and a joy to shoot. Happy Birthday!

Sweet!
Mine is not a classic like yours, but I do have a Henry Octagon Frontier in .22, and it’s one of my favorite rifles.

They make great lever guns, too! I don't think Ruger will ever make the Model 39 as to not compete with their 10/22. Their foray into lever actions wasn't all that successful with the Model 96's in .22LR, .22 Mag and .44 mag. I may be wrong about the Ruger making Marlin Model 39's, we'll just have to wait and see.The Annoyed Man wrote: Sun Apr 02, 2023 11:34 am Sweet!
