Sig P365X pondering
I can order the 365X-9-BXR3P for $494.99 new. I think this is a good deal on the pistol with two 12rd mags? Is there anything I should know prior to ordering?

Re: Sig P365X pondering
My wife has a 365XL, which I like quite a bit. It has less than 1k rounds thru it, & no complaints thus far.
The 365X has a slightly shorter slide/barrel/sight radius, so personally I'd recommend an XL over the X, but that's just my preference (the XL is still easily concealed).
However, recently I've seen a bit of discussion of 365 series trigger bar return springs breaking somewhere around the 1,000 ~ 2,500 ~ 5,000 rounds mark (a spring that some say should have a lifespan or 20,000~50,000 rounds, but I'm not a Sig Armorer sp will defer to someone with expert domain on that).
Some speculate that the polymer frame & sharp edge on the FCU are pinching the springs, causing premature wear / snapping. I haven't seen this first hand on ours, nor on any student's 365s, & haven't heard of it being a widespread issue until I went searching for it on the internet. All of my student's 365s have run flawlessly, BUT just because I haven't seen it doesn't mean it's not happening.
Some report that Sigs reply was "a bad batch of springs", but the replacement spring broke as well. Some report the build date of their 365s between 2021~2024. My take; there may be a fit issue with some 365s, but not all of them.

Re: Sig P365X pondering
This is through their Shoot Sig program, their version of GSSF. There are none of the 3.7" options available and the other 3 9mm choices are more expensive models, with optic or whatever. I'd choose XL if it was available. It's between that and a Glock 43X/48. The 48 has a small lead at the moment.

I have the original P365 and the P365 Fuse. I had the P365X and I sold it so I could buy the Fuse which is a fantastic gun to me.
Re: Sig P365X pondering
I wish they had more options available at the special pricing but this is it. I'd like a P229 also but they have zero of those in the program.

I had a student a month or so ago searching in DFW for the 365x (with a thumb safety). The only one he could find at the time was at Scheels for around $620. Where did you find one for $495?

See my post above. Their Shoot Sig program, their version of GSSF. A small subset of their product line available at reduced pricing. I already ordered a P322 TacPac. Debating this or a G43X/48.Greybeard wrote: Mon May 05, 2025 9:09 am I had a student a month or so ago searching in DFW for the 365x (with a thumb safety). Tks. FWIW, I used my original 365 (with 12 and 17 round magazines) last Saturday in a 3-hour Israeli Combat Shooting class. It ran flawlessly with around 130 rounds and did not beat the old man up too bad.
