My understanding is that the "Big Beautiful Bill passed the House. My questions are:
Does it stand a chance in the Senate?
Does it address Suppressors, and if so in what way? Does it get that authority out of the ATF, and did it remove the $200 extortion fee associated with it?

It appears removal of suppressors from the NFA is in the bill. This is awesome!
John Commerford, Executive Director of the NRA Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA), released the following statement:
"This morning, the U.S. House of Representatives passed President Trump's One, Big, Beautiful Bill, which includes the complete removal of suppressors from the NFA. This represents a monumental victory for Second Amendment rights, eliminating burdensome regulations on the purchase of critical hearing protection devices. The NRA thanks the House members who supported this bill and urges its swift passage in the U.S. Senate."

I just wished they would have significantly cut spending; enacted the DOGE cut recommendations; rescinded the Continuing Resolution that funds the Taliban and other Terrorists; the Green energy scams; and the so-called "Inflation Reduction Act" among a few hundred billion more in spending cuts. Our Republicans in the US Congress are about as useless as our Texas State Republicans. Forgive the rant, but if we put all of our kids and grandchildren's future on a credit card bill we and they cannot pay we will not have a country anymore.
Grateful for the possible win on suppressors if the bill is passed in both chambers and signed by the President. But I'm tired of Republicans giving us a bone here and there thinking we are going to be satisfied with them.

Re: The House passed Trump's 'big, beautiful bill
I'm hoping that great big beautiful bill includes a 5,000 dollar check for us and an increase on our SS check.

Did not increase SS but did increase the income tax personal exemption for seniors by $4000.Take Down Sicko wrote: Tue May 27, 2025 12:53 pm I'm hoping that great big beautiful bill includes a 5,000 dollar check for us and an increase on our SS check.
