Texas GLO purchases Menger and Crockett Hotels

Post by E10 »

This means that both are now owned by the state of Texas. Government property. Do all the 30.06 and .07 signs disappear?! We’ve considered visiting San Antonio and staying at one or the other, but I was put off when we entered the Menger to look around and the first thing I saw was HANDGUNS PROHIBITED. My wife was upset when I insisted we leave immediately - she had not noticed the sign(!) and didn’t realize I was armed(!!). I resolved some years ago to always carry in that city and Austin as well.

It's law in TX that hotels cannot prohibit guests from carrying to and from their rooms.
Other common areas can be off limits.
I am not a lawyer. This is NOT legal advice.!
