the itises.

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

the itises.

Post by Venus Pax »

I have a few different itises right now: laryngitis, sinusitis, bronchitis. I can't talk above a whisper. I'm a teacher, so that's a bit of a problem.

I got sick Monday evening, started losing my voice Thursday evening, and I'm not seeing signs of improvement, despite the antibiotics.
On top of all this, my house just sold and I'm preparing to move. This is a really bad time for me to host the itises.

I know this isn't life-threatening or anything, but if you don't mind, lift up a prayer for healing for me.

Thanks,
V

Done. Get well soon.

Prayers for a speedy recovery! I hope you're feeling better soon! It's miserable to have all that going on at the same time!

You could try an old "home remedy" in the meantime -- 1 shot of whiskey, tablespoon of honey and juice of 1/2 lemon. It's not just an old wive's tale -- the whiskey is a bronchodilator so opens up your airways, the honey has immunity building properties and the lemon helps ease throat tightness. Plus it will help you sleep a little easier and rest is the best medicine!

Prayers from here as well.

If I hadn't met you at the Forum day in 06, I would think you were my daughter. She is going through the exact same issues this week and is a teacher down that way also.

Hope you both get to feeling better soon.

Prayers from me, also. Don't underestimate those itises. Without rest and recuperation, they can progress to worse stuff.

Thanks everyone for the prayers. I've been in bed much of the day trying to rest. Everything is still plugged up.

MrsFos, I'll send Mars to the liquor store, but I'll show him your post first. He might think I'm just going stir-crazy and refuse any part in it. ;-)
