"Here is the nightmare scenario on that: Yes, our Supreme Court has said the U.S. Constitution trumps treaties. But say Hillary Clinton becomes President in 2008 and gets a couple of Supreme Court appointments. The policy of her husband when he was president is that the Second Amendment applies only to the government and not individuals. Individuals have no right to own guns - only the government.

"If the U.S. Supreme Court, stacked with Hillary Clinton appointments, were to decide that the Second Amendment is only a government right and not the individual right, there would be nothing in the Constitution then to prohibit this U.N. treaty from taking effect," LaPierre said.

Making matters worse, adds LaPierre, is that in his opinion, Supreme Court Justices are increasingly looking to international custom and international law – a phenomenon the U.N. is counting on.
So if it ends up being between Hillary and Giuliani, are y'all still gonna vote for Hillary, or "Slow Wheat"? (or stay home)

I won't.

I will still vote for Ron Paul. He is the only candidate who has the stones to eject the UN from the country. Giuliani does not; he probably enjoys attending UN and IANSA cocktail parties in drag.

The only problem with doing that in the general election, as opposed to the primary, is that there is no chance that he will ever become president.

So what you're really doing, whether you intend to or not, is helping Hillary seize power.

I will state for the record that I do not want Hillary Clinton to become President of the United States. She is not worthy of leading this country, much less living in it. I feel the same way toward Rudy Giuliani. Neither is acceptable to me, in equal measure. Where you and I part company, Frankie, is that you are convinced that if Giuliani gets to run in the presidential election against Hillary, when he is wearing a Republican label and she is wearing a Democrat label, that the Republican label makes Giuliani acceptable when they are otherwise virtually identical. I disagree.

As thinking Americans, I suggest we avoid allowing the mainstream media and the major players within the two major political parties to define for us what is acceptable political thinking, and that we reject the Republicrat false dichotomy and see it for what it is: two pimply cheeks on the same bipartisan rump, that is long overdue for a flogging.

We cannot allow ourselves to be herded toward the same types of choices that have failed us over and over again, and currently offer only slightly different paths to ruin and destruction.

We must have the courage to choose what is right for this country, not what may appear politically expedient, and vote for candidates and their messages, not their political parties.

Sup with Satan, and expect to get burned!

You can keep campaigning for the democrat in republican's clothing, but rudy is as poor a choice, if not worse, as Hilly.

I think where we actually part company is on the idea that Rudy and Hillary are "virtually identical". I think there are substantial differences between the two.

With all due respect, if I were a Democrat, and the choice were between Hillary and Rudy, the best way I could campaign "for the Democrat" would be to urge conservatives, Libertarians, and 2A supporters to either stay home or vote "Slow Wheat".

That way, I'd be helping the Democrat win.

It's the label I made up to refer to minor party candidates (as in, "the Slow Wheat Party") and/or anyone running who has no chance of winning.

Unfortunate, but very true!

Since we are in Texas, Hillary will not get the electoral college vote. We all know the popular vote means nothing.

Russell wrote:Even then, if Hillary became president, stacked the supreme court with liberals, and then decided to implement a UN treaty on gun bans, it won't stand in the South.

We'll have another civil war. I guarantee it.

Many Southern states will secede again for the right to have stronger State's rights, and it'll be another bloody mess.

But one that I will happily take part in.
The Civil War we experienced in the 19th century remains America's bloodiest conflict to this day.

If we had another one, it would wreak the country as we know it. Our days as a great country would be over.

This would not be a happy prospect under any circumstances.

Far better to prevent such a thing by not throwing our votes away on minor party candidates and/or others who cannot possibly win, thus enabling a radical Leftist like Hillary or Obama to get in.

That good feeling you might get walking out of the voting booth will turn ugly real fast when one of them starts stuffing The Court with Breyer clones.
