I'm an offical Good Guy

Post by Turfspanker »

The DPS website triggered today and status shows Application Completed - license issued or certificate active.
From a County, State, and Federal Government perspective, I'm an official card carrying good guy.

The wait was delayed about a month due to a fingerprint processing error. The LEO taking the prints forgot to sign a passport card.

Now for the USPS wait.
Come'on Postman! I've got some holiday shopping to do at Walmart. :hurry:

Timeline:

9/16 Concealed Carry Class

This forum has been very helpful in preparing for the official CHL. Many thanks to the members. This place should be the required rest stop for anyone waiting on approval of their application.

Thanks!

One less thing to worry about.

I never had a need to memorize my drivers license number until I started checking status on the DPS website.

+1 on the NRA

Do us all a favor and do the NRA Membership while your waiting for the plastic. Wal-Mart can wait.

Done!

On the 5 year plan. I hope the plastic arrives before my American Rifleman subscription.
Thanks for the prompt.

Plastic arrived today - They must have shipped it prior to the web site update. I'm not complaining!

First stop - You guessed it.
The real test - I wore my Wrangler 972 jeans and a heavy yellow tee shirt. Glock tucked IWB and shirt tucked.
Walmart was low on ammo stock but I bought a few boxes anyway.

The biggest disappointment was my new Walmart didn't have any NACHOS!!!
Whats up with that? :nono:

I had to settle for a chocolate sunday at the Walmart McDonalds.
Best chocolate sunday I've had in years.

Carry On...
