Harris County Court Contact

Post by nedmoore »

I was arrested for a class A over five years ago and the case was dismissed. Old bad check from college days. Anyway, I remember smiling real big for the mugshot and asking if I could get a copy to send out for christmas cards! What office in Harris County do I contact to get the information for DPS? I guess that you have to report this even if the case was dismissed? Any help will be appreciated.

I don't know, but maybe this will help: http://home.jims.hctx.net/faq.aspx

It's sometimes more hassle to document the disposition of dropped charges than if you were found guilty.

Jim, thanks for your help. I went to clerks office this morning and got the paperwork that I needed. I think the CHL Gods were helping me, found an open parking spot in downtown, and it only took about three minutes to get the papers. It took me longer to go through security than the clerks office, they are on top of things.

I had the same experience when I went for to get my records (took longer to get through security than actually get the records) except I had a friend drop me off in front of building as he had another errand to run downtown.
