Happy Birthday TexasCHLforum & Thanks!

Post by Charles L. Cotton »

At 7:42 PM tonight, the TexasCHLforum will be one year old. What started as a shelter for tx.guns refugees has grown into an excellent source of information on issues bearing directly on Texas CHL holders and some not so directly related, but fun nonetheless. :cheers2:

I have expressed my appreciation to the "members" who have made this forum what it is today and I want to do so again on this first anniversary. With more than 11,000 posts and over 400 members, you folks have created as close to a family atmosphere as I could imagine possible on the Internet. There are many different "personalities" and points of view from all walks of life. Yet problems have been amazingly few. I think only one or two threads had to be locked, one user banned, and only four or five posts were edited for language. This is phenomenal for a forum with over 11,000 posts and is a testament to the atmosphere you folks have created.

I read a good number of gun related boards daily or weekly, as well as some for Corvettes, Cobras and flying, very good boards all, but TexasCHLforum is unique. Here, your entire family can find good, accurate information from people who are more than willing to help and to welcome a new "member." I sometimes get the credit for TexasCHLforum, but as I've said many times, all I did was get the software and launch the forum. TexasCHLforum is what you folks have made it, all I did was push the "Go" button.

Thanks all and happy birthday TexasCHLforum,
Chas.

So, when can I pick up my Para Nitehawg?

Honestly, it's you who should be thanked, for sponsoring this relatively peaceful forum, with an amazingly high signal:noise ratio.

It is we that thank you for pushing that go button. Although my time is limited and I don't get to post very often, I try to look in daily.
A special thanks to all of the members as well for making this my internet family.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY :cheers2:

Hard to believe it has been a year. I do not post a lot, but I do a lot of reading. Thanks for the forum.

Happy Birthday to us!!

Actually, I just checked and I didn't join until Jan. So it won't be a year for me until the middle of Jan.

I check in two or three times a day and always look forward to it.

Great bunch of guys. Enjoy my time here and truly enjoyed meeting a few of you.

Thanks guys and THANK YOU Chas.
