suggestions for a holster for Sig 239?

Post by longhorn_92 »

I passed my CHL class with a perfect 250 qualifying and finally sent the application (certified mail) on Monday, March 3, 2008. Now, I have what sounds like a VERY long wait until I get my plastic and my "Wally Walk".

In the meantime, I need help in getting suggestions for an IWB for my Sig 239 .357 w/ hogue grips. Any suggestions?

Also, what in the world do most of ya'll do while you wait? It has only been a few days...and it's bad for me!

I have two IWBs for mine..A Comp-Tac Pro Undercover and a Comp-Tac Shirt-Tucker. The Pro Undercover is just about my favorite holster for any gun, but Comp-Tac has a number of other good choices as well. The MTAC hybrid has been getting great reviews if you prefer the feel of leather.

longhorn_92,
Welcome aboard. I have an MTAC Spartan for my P239, it's OK for a IWB holster. My wife has a Fist # 8 leather OWB for her P239. Fist makes a nice leather holster. If you are going to carry IWB, I would suggest the MTAC. Don't forget to pick up a spare magazine holder while you are at it. Everybody needs a SmartCarry, for the times you will be in a crowd of people wanting to hug you.

Congrats on your passing the test and welcome aboard. Now is a great time to explore holster options, as some of them might take longer to receive than your plastic. I carry a Sig 239 in a Tucker Heritage and love the combination. Attached is a link for Tucker's website.

Good luck in your decision!

Tucker Answer ...1 for my 229 and 1 for my 239.......also, like Galco Fletch OWB for each as well....Don Hume on the 239 IWB works.
