letter recieved from TXDPS

Post by testersbc »

NOW I am really ticked. I just recieved a letter from the DPS stating I owe over $11k in Dallas county. I have never lived in Dallas county. Plus I get the letter on the weekend at almost my 60 period! Can't do anything about it!! Talk about ticked off. You send your fingerprints and all your id and they still get it wrong!!! Now I have to find who to talk to and why they say this bill is mine, when i know it isn't!!!!!!! :rules: :rules: :rules: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Is it possible that a deceased relative passed a property to you in their will and you never got any notification on it?

I am the only one in my family that has any money. all my relatives have less than i do!!! i looked up my name in the dallas white pages and there is another person with my name that lives in dallas. Now if you send the state your social security number and your own personal fingerprints and they still get it wrong do you have to send in your DNA?? :headscratch :headscratch :headscratch :headscratch

gonna have to take a day off of work to try to get this straightened out because the state will say it is not their responsibility, even though one of their clerks had to fat finger something while inputting the information. because Lord knows computers are only as smart as the people working them!!! :waiting: :waiting: :waiting: :waiting: :waiting:

Understood, and you are most likely correct.......
You could go a bit further and look up the Dallas property tax records online and see if that person with the same name as you owes the 11K and you could then be certain that they have you confused with that person. May help explain it to them when you call. Problem is though, you may not get an answer when you call....they are so backlogged it appears that they have stopped answering the phones (according to another thread). GOOD LUCK!

If it's for outstanding property taxes go here http://www.dallascad.org/SearchOwner.aspx

It will show taxable properties. Hopefully it will help.

lots of things happened in the last couple of days. monday i had planned to take off work and go to the dallas county tax office. i had sent an email ( on sunday afternoon )back to the dps with my full name and told them i had never lived in dallas county. well monday morning i woke up with chest pains. Went to the emergency room. Ended up i had an inflammed and blocked gall bladder! Can you say SURGERY. which didn't happen until tuesday. dr kept me one more night just to be on the safe side. No heart problems, yet! just got home and out of curiosity i looked on DPS website. Status today shows------"Application Completed - license issued or certificate active" now a different wait!! :hurry: :hurry: :hurry: :cheers2: :cheers2: :cheers2: :cheers2: :anamatedbanana :anamatedbanana :anamatedbanana :anamatedbanana

Been there, done that. I don't miss my gall bladder one dang bit. Take it easy a few days, heal up, and march on.

Best.

Woohoo! So which of the 3 local Wallys are you gonna visit? Want some company? We could make an 'event' out of it!
