Re: Ron Paul Chaos
I don't believe he ever dropped out - he just isn't actively campaigning for that position anymore.
Re: Ron Paul Chaos
He didn't drop out - in fact during the recent Nevada GOP Convention he specifically said that as long as he still had support he'd continue running, all the way to the National GOP Convention. He then mentioned that his support is still growing.

Re: Ron Paul Chaos
His newest book was officially released 4/30, and is #1 overall (not just in political or non-fiction) on Amazon, and #7 on the NY Times list for last week (before the official release).

Re: Ron Paul Chaos
no he did not drop out. He is still in. He still has delegates. It's just Chipmunk Cheeks McCain has enough delegates on his side to get the nomination. Ron Paul is still going to the convention.
Re: Ron Paul Chaos
The convention is going to be interesting. Not over the nominee -- that part is pretty well sealed, barring something unforeseen. Instead, it's going to be interesting in the battle over the platform.
Advocates of traditional Republicanism --which includes Ron Paul supporters, but certainly isn't restricted to them-- have had a lot of success gaining seats as delegates in various states.
I expect the GOP platform, and the nominee's platform, to be "divergent".

What was the final outcome in NV, anybody know? They had to reschedule the convention for later, but did it ever get completed?KBCraig wrote:Advocates of traditional Republicanism --which includes Ron Paul supporters, but certainly isn't restricted to them-- have had a lot of success gaining seats as delegates in various states.
Likewise. Shoot, even the in-writing Texas GOP platform is divergent from that of the National GOP.KBCraig wrote:I expect the GOP platform, and the nominee's platform, to be "divergent".
