Back in the USA

Post by macktruckturner »

Flew in Saturday, this soldier's occupation of Iraq is over for good, finally. Mostly I've subsisted on steak and beer since I landed, and as all good soldiers do, I've spent entirely too much money in the last few days. Soon enough I'll clear out of the Army, and head back to Texas. For now, Georgia will just have to do.

Glad you made it back in 1 piece, thank you for your service.

I am going to be at Benning next week (may 7th and 8th) for my son's graduation from basic.

Is there a range on base open to the public where he and I could do some basic action pistol shooting? or should I check in Columbus instead?
Reasonable gun control is hitting your target with the first shot.

Anthony, remember that cold beers are waiting for you in Grapevine when you come through DFW - my treat! Hopefully, we'll be able to connect. Glad you made it back in one piece.
