After getting this site from a friend of mine that took the CHL class with me, and looking about a bit a finally registering I'd like to introduce myself
My name is Patrick age 44 and I'm a waiter in Dallas .
i also wanted to give my time-line as well since we all seem to be comparing them
CHL class Mar 2
mailed packet (with cashiers check) Mar 3
PIN mailed to me Mar 25
(I didn't get it until April 29 because my idiot house-mate got the mail one day and tossed what wasn't his on his bedroom floor)
DPS website status Processing Application ( i know it won't change soon but I'm still checking)
quick aside
when i looked at the letter with the PIN i noticed that my street address had one letter that was wrong
i quickly panicked with visions of an even LONGER wait for a correction i called after hours and left a message
then called the next morning and was put on perma-hold and after about 13 minutes i was disconnected
did that 2 or 3 times before i gave up and emailed them with the corrected information
i did get a reasonably prompt reply saying that the corrected info was in the system and that, on approval, my license will have the proper spelling
so for now, I'm gonna look for a seat in the waiting room grab a drink, and relax
