My First Renewal - Should have started earlier

Post by Lodge2004 »

My initial CHL is scheduled to expire at the end of May. The long wait (and my procrastination) has eaten up most of the time available and it looks like I'll be spending some time this year without an active license.

+/- January 2008 - Rec'd packet from DPS
30 March 2008 - Took renewal class
31 March 2008 - Mailed completed packet to DPS
6 May 2006 - Status changed to "Application incomplete - missing information - detailed letter has been sent."

Guess I'll have to wait a while to discover what information is missing. I checked the list several times before sending it in, so I have no clue what the problem is.

Lesson learned for the next time...DO THE RENEWAL AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

You can still carry in your car without a CHL.

And you can get a Utah/Florida license to fill the gap.
