I started shooting them in November and am completely hooked. The feedback you get from the ringing of the steel is very gratifying. It's great for working on your reaction to the timer, trigger control, front sight focus and target transitions.
Yesterday's match had more steel than usual and some itty bitty diamond shaped plates that I'd not seen before. I felt like it was my birthday.
Whether you're an established competitive shooter or have just been thinking about it, you will have fun. Oh yes, lots of fun.
The next one will be June 15th. Come on out and ring some steel.
