Anyone here shoot Plates/ Steel Challenge?

Post by HighVelocity »

Twice a month the Dallas Pistol Club www.dallaspistolclub.com hosts a Steel Challenge style match on the 3rd and 4th Sundays and a charity steel match on the 5th Sunday when there is one.

I started shooting them in November and am completely hooked. The feedback you get from the ringing of the steel is very gratifying. It's great for working on your reaction to the timer, trigger control, front sight focus and target transitions.
Yesterday's match had more steel than usual and some itty bitty diamond shaped plates that I'd not seen before. I felt like it was my birthday. :fire

Whether you're an established competitive shooter or have just been thinking about it, you will have fun. Oh yes, lots of fun. :evil2:

The next one will be June 15th. Come on out and ring some steel.
I am scared of empty guns and keep mine loaded at all times. The family knows the guns are loaded and treats them with respect. Loaded guns cause few accidents; empty guns kill people every year. -Elmer Keith. 1961
