Military Bases

Post by cmbrust »

I will be traveling to a military base in Georgia to visit family soon. While there I will be taking some shooting lessons. Are there any restrictions to bringing my revolvers on base?

I've searched the Net a bit but cannot find information.

Thanks,

Every base has its own rules. I suggest calling them on the phone.

Ditto what Jim said. If it's an Air Force base, your chances are slim. If it's an Army post, your chances increase to "maybe".

Call the Law Enforcement Center (what used to be called the "PMO", Provost Marshall's Office), and explain your situation, and ask what their post policy is.

While you're at it, check with the Rod & Gun Club (there's almost certainly one there). They'll be a good source of advice.

Ditto. But I wouldn't hold your breath.
