I am at home, working, as I usually am during the day. I heard a crash and went to the corner office. A Jeep or Ford Explorer type of vehicle had run over a one-way sign on the corner and stopped in our unfenced yard. By the time I made it outside, it was pulling away, and I couldn't get a license plate.
I called 911 because I figured it was a drunk driver.
When the officer came to investigate, the dispatcher told him that a vehicle had just crashed six blocks away on the same one-way street.
That one-way sign could just as easily have been a pedestrian or cyclist.

yowzers! glad it wasn't THROUGH your corner office!!!!
FWIW, IIRC, AFAIK, FTMP, IANAL. YMMV.
Re: A little bit of excitement
Thanks. I am, too; but they would have to come through a tree to get to the building.
There's been about a crash a year at this intersection, some of them serious. I lost a parked car to a hit-and-run.
