I called and was told they received my application in April and just started looking atthe application. She said it should be done by the end of August. I got through pretty quick only waited on hold less than a minute. Was also told the web sight is not the best place to get information. A phone call is better.

My wife took hers in late June. We called yesterday and they do not even have record of it being received...yet.

I was fortunate to take mine when I first moved to this beautiful state a couple years back.

I will tell you that I had a NYS pistol permit back when I turned 21. It took a mere 9 MONTHS! and that was over a decade ago.
