speaking of pepper spray

Post by mr.72 »

I would like to get pepper spray for my wife & daughter. Anyone know somewhere local that might have it (NW Austin suburbs area)? There is a new Academy nearby, I might drop by and see if they have any today.

Academy sells it. If they follow a similar layout, look for it on the wall in front of the cash registers.

Excaliber did a review on this new stuff. Might check it out.

i found a fairly decent selection at mcbrides. i bought six of one type; five for my wife, kids, kids-n-law and one to practice with.
we attatched a paper plate to a tree and all sprayed it to know what to expect. they seem ok.

if you want the best selection in austin go to gt distributors off burnet rd near breaker. they have really nice ones with replaceable cartridges and you can get practice cartridges (these were as high as buying an extra to throw away.) you might get more effective spray there also as they sell different formulas.
