Well I ordered the Lee Classic Turret kit from Cabelas and now I need to decide what powder and primers to buy. I have been shooting Blazer Brass 180gr and would like to load something comparable. Specs show a velocity of 985fps for 180gr Blazers. I am planning on loading Rainier 180gr fmj for practice and GoldDot 180gr for carry. Was looking at Midway for bullets, just not sure on powder and primer to buy. Anyone have some favorites they care to recommend?
Thanks,
Ruben

Very popular among competition shooters - VihtaVuori N320, Winchester or Federal Small Pistol Primers - http://www.powdervalleyinc.com

You might want to consider Alliant Unique. Another powder that works well in the .40 S&W is Winchester 231. Primers, I like them all, I'm using Remington in Small pistol right now. I have been using some Wolf in large pistol and small rifle with excellent results.

I don't load .40 caliber, but I really like Vihtavuori N320 in 9mm. I have used Winchester and Magtech small & large primers. They all went bang.
A couple of other vendors you might want to check out for bullets:
Montanagoldbullet.com
precisiondelta.com
Congratulations on the new press, I'm pretty sure you'll like it. I just finished loading 400 rounds of .45 on mine.

Re: Powder & primers for .40SW?
I've been shooting the Rainier 180gr plated bullets from midway in my reloads. I'm using 4.2 grains of Bullseye with CCI Primers. Everything seems fine, they are light and easy to shoot loads with no signs of overpressure I've seen. Also, I've had perfect function so far after ~300 rounds in my S&W M&P40 and in my Steyr M40A1.
As a bonus, I can use the Bullseye for 45acp loads.
