A man who witnesses say was wearing a "ninja outfit" shot another man in the chest Monday night after asking him for his keys, Bexar County Sheriff's deputies said.

Sgt. Mario Cervantes said a group of men were hanging out in front of house in the 8400 block of Tuxford near Walzem Road in East Bexar County. At about 9:30 p.m., a man wearing a black mask and black clothing, the "ninja outfit," walked up to the men. He looked directly at one member of the group who was a visitor to the home, Cervantes said. He then demanded the man's keys.

The visitor "apparently thought it was some kind of a joke," Cervantes said. "He said something like 'are you kidding me?'"

The man then shot the visitor once in the chest before fleeing on foot.

The victim was taken to Brooke Army Medical Center and his condition is unknown. The gunman is still at large.

I live in SA and I can tell you it does not surprise me that this happened. Not only would a real ninja just thrown the bullet. He would have stole the keys and the vehicle out of the driveway without them knowing it. What a slacker.
